Monkey Island Fun

 At Royal Horse Ranch, Monkey Island Trail Rides caters to equestrians of all skill levels, offering personalized, one-hour guided trail rides (reservations required). Riders will explore more than 150 acres of picturesque terrain, including open pastures and forested paths that provide stunning views of Grand Lake.

For group enjoyment, we also offer engaging forty-five-minute hay rides. This activity is an excellent, inclusive option for bringing families, friends, or business associates together for a shared, relaxing outdoor experience.

 Monkey Island Cottages, founded in 2017, represents the premier, contemporary choice for overnight lodging in the Grand Lake area. Kindly contact Val at 918-257-1166 for information on both wine tasting schedules and cottage reservations. 

 Monkey Island Winery boasts an established history, originally launching in 2010 and commencing operations again in 2017. We anticipate wine sales to begin in October 2017. Our current vintages utilize carefully sourced purchased juice and fruit, as well as premium Cynthiana/Norton grapes from our own vineyards, harvested during the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

  Shangri-La Resort is a full-service destination resort located strategically on Monkey Island on Grand Lake O' The Cherokees in northeastern Oklahoma. The resort's recreational offerings include championship golf, parasailing, boat rentals, and yacht charters.

Our accommodations—ranging from comfortable suites to well-appointed cabins and lodges—are equipped with TVs, free Wi-Fi, and outdoor charcoal grills; upgraded units include kitchen facilities and private outdoor spaces. Our culinary offerings are extensive, featuring a full menu of American classics, including BBQ, Burgers, and specialty sandwiches, available for lunch and dinner daily from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

Special dining hours include a highly anticipated Smoked Prime Rib on Friday nights (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM) and full breakfast service on Saturdays and Sundays (8:00 AM – 11:30 AM). The Saloon also features a full-service bar and proudly offers live bands with no cover fee.
